Suhani Karani is an Indian born, Kenyan – Canadian artist and designer. She is an international student, currently enrolled in OCAD University for a Bachelor’s in Fine Art with a major in Drawing & Painting - to be completed in 2020. She experiments with a number of different materials and mediums but mainly focuses on graphite, charcoal and acrylic paint. She also works with Illustrator and Photoshop to create digital paintings and graphic design.

Having grown up in Kenya and being a Woman of Colour in Canada, Suhani aims to further develop her art practice by drawing inspiration from her diverse cultural background and her unique experiences. In addition to this, by exploring feminist ideologies, she hopes to use her art as tool for education on feminism and for social change.
